ロンドン最終日、午前中は用があり夫と１２時に待ち合わせ、まずはランチに。
The last day in London. In the morning, I had a chore until 12.00 so my husband met me when I finished.
今回ロンドンで行きたいレストランをピックアップするために色々検索していてメキシコ料理のお店がたくさん人気のお店として挙がってきました。それも、主にミニタコス。流行っているんでしょうか？
When I was searching restaurants in London, a lot of Mexican restaurants were hit, they seem to be very popular now, specially mini tacos. Are mini tacos all the rage now?
せっかくなので行ってみようと何軒かピックアップしていて、この日予定では Borough Market の近くにある人気のお店でランチをしてそのあとマーケットをうろつこうと思っていたのですが、午前中の用事で疲れていたのもありますし（しかも、この日も暑かった）マーケットで色々欲しいものを見ても荷物がいっぱいになってきていて持って帰れないなと思っていましたし、結構遠いこともあり、今回は諦めて近くのメキシカンに行ってみました。
So, I wanted to try one and had a few popular restaurants in London in the list. Our plan was to go to the one near Borough Market then look in the market, but it was another very hot day, I was quite tired by the time we met (and did a little shopping). Besides, our luggage was getting very full and I didn’t think we’ll have much room for what we’d want to buy in the market and Borough Market was quite far from where we were. So we decided to got a Mexican restaurant nearby.
ちなみにこのとき、Borough Market はテロからあまり日が経っていなかったので「オープンしてるのかな？」と聞くと「してるでしょう」という周りの意見でしたが、後でわかったことですが、この時点ではまだクローズしていたようです。ですので、諦めて良かったです。
When I asked people if Borough Market was already open (as it wasn’t long after the terrorism) their replies were “I’m sure it is”. However we found out after we got back that it wasn’t opened then yet, so we made a good decision not to go.
行ったレストランはカジュアルなところで、Corazon というお店でした。
My husband did a quick search and found out that there was a Mexican restaurant near where we were, so that’s where we headed.
ビーフタコス。
Beef tacos.
トウモロコシの炒めたもの、というようなことだったと思うのですが、かすかすしたような不思議な食感で、あまり好みではなかったです。
Something with sweet corns, but the corns had very strange unusual texture and I didn’t really enjoy it.
ポークのタコス。クラックリング（皮をカリカリにしたもの）を刻んだものが入っていて、先に食べた夫はガリっとくる食感に石か何かだと勘違い。確かにクラックリングが入っていると知らないと（メニューにはちゃんと書いてあったのですが忘れてました）嫌な食感でした。わかってからは大丈夫でしたが、もう少し大きく切った方がクラックリングらしさを楽しめるような。
Pork tacos. My husband had it first, made a face after some chewing and was trying to take something out of his mouth. We found out it was just chopped crackling. It was clearly written on the menu so it was our fault to forget it, but I thought crackling is nicer not to be in such small pieces.
まだもの足らず、最後に前菜に戻って（笑）ワカモーレをオーダー。
We wanted something more and went back to a starter and ordered Guacamole.
まぁまぁ、かな。サービスはとても良かったです。
It was OK. Service was good.
この後、以前書いた可愛いアイシングのビスケット屋さんに行きたくて、ノッティングヒルまで行きました。外から見ても可愛らしいお店でした。
Then we went to Notting Hill because I wanted to go to this Biscuiteer shop. Outside looks very cute as well as inside.
近くのお花屋さん。この時期英国のお花屋さんは、どこも紫陽花とピオニーがたくさん！こちらのお店は特にカラフルでした。
A flower shop near there. So colourful. I saw a lot of hydrangeas and peonies in flower shops in the UK.
暑さに疲れて見ませんでしたが、マーケットもオープンしていました。
We were too tired to look but the market was open. I wished it weren’t so hot.
この後最後にハロッズに寄るつもりでいたのにすっかり忘れ、ここからホテルに戻って夕方まで休んでしまい、そのことに気がついたのはもう夕食に出る頃でした（涙）。
We were planning to go to Harrods before going back to the hotel but had forgotten completely and went straight back to the hotel. I remembered it too late just before we were going out to dinner.
こちらは、宿泊していたホテルから道を挟んだ向かいにあるお花屋さん、やはりこちらの方がシックで洗練された雰囲気です。
This is the flower shop across from the hotel we were staying, Very chic and beautiful.
