Beef Tagine



We usually go out on Fridays for dinner but yesterday we ate at home because we are going out today with some friends.  Although we want to go out for a change, it is sometimes stressful to think of where to go because we haven’t found many restaurants we like in Singapore and we often get disappointed when we try a new place so we tend to eat out just once a week.

Yesterday, I made a modified version of Jamie Oliver’s Beef Tagine.  Since I cooked some Moroccan only a few days ago I didn’t want it to be particularly Moroccan so I made it just lightly so.  I used much less spices, didn’t use prunes or nuts, so it was just like usual slow-cooked beef with a hit of cumin and cinnamon.  A little less liquid would have been better but it was quite nice.
