Dinners Last Week (3)


On Thursday, I made Yakisoba (Japanese stir-fried noodles).  I cannot find good Japanese noodles for Yakisoba, so I use thin spaghetti instead.  No meat, just onion, red & yellow pepper and cabbage.  Usually you would use pork or beef (or some seafood).






On Friday I cooked Japanese.  My husband wanted me to use these Japanese posh bento boxes, I used to do this often but haven’t done for a long long time.  Tonkatsu (breaded and deep-fried pork), raw and shredded cabbage with shiso, cold aubergine salad and lotus root with shabu-shabu sauce. The box in the corner contains rice.
