Homemade Pizza


For tonight’s dinner, I made homemade pizza .  I knew I hadn’t made it for a long time but didn’t realise it’s been as long as 9 months since I made it last!  Time flies.  There have been so many things going on this year, it seems to be going even faster than usual.  As the dough needs to be proved slowly in the fridge overnight but I keep forgetting to make the dough.


ピッツァを焼くのは、お友達に教えていただいて日本から持ち帰ってきた FUKAI 石窯ピザ&ロースター。410度まで上がるので、あっと言う間にふっくらと焼き上がります。もう少し上手に生地を伸ばせると良いのですが。

We use a Japanese portable pizza oven to bake the pizza.  I brought it all the way from Japan as I’ve never seen anything like this here.  The temperature goes up to 410C (although I don’t use the highest setting) so it cooks very quickly and makes it fluffy.


The first one, the topping was tomato, onion, mozzarella, shredded cheese then basil after it’s done.




The 2nd one was half and half.  One half was with tomato, chorizo, mozzarella, shredded cheese and basil after it’s done, the other half was gorgonzola, pear, walnuts and honey after it’s done.



It was a little burned here and there but very good.  My husband loves it so I always mean to make it more often but I keep forgetting to make the dough.  I’ll try to make it soon again.
