湖水地方からスコットランドのフォートウィリアムへの移動日も雨が降ったりやんだりのお天気で、ほとんど車の中から撮った写真なので実際の景色の素敵さが伝わらず残念ですが、雰囲気だけでも。

It was raining on and off on the day we drove from the Lake District to Fort William in Scotland, and most photos were taken from the car so they don’t show the true beauty, but I still want to upload them so you can have a feeling what sort of places we saw.

どこにもツツジやシャクナゲがたくさん咲いていてきれいでした。写真はありませんが、少し春が来るのが遅いスコットランドではブルーベルもまだたくさん咲いている場所もありました。

Everywhere, we saw rhododendron and azelea.  We also saw a lot of bluebells in some parts in Scotland as I guess spring came later there.

 

湖水地方の辺りからしばらくはこういう風景です。

山が見えてきました。

Then you start seeing mountains.

 

 

多分この辺りが「嘆きの谷」という意味のグレンコーの入り口。ハリーポッタの撮影にも使われたそうです。２０年ほど前にも一度走ったことがありますが綺麗か景色が記憶に残っていたので、今回もここを走るのが楽しみでした。

This is probably the beginning of Glencoe, where Harry Potter was filmed.  We drove here about 20 years ago and I remember how beautiful it was so I was looking forward to being back.
