Day 2 in Edinburgh – Photo Walk (Photos I Took)

エジンバラでのフォトウォークで撮ったわたしの写真もアップしておきます。（最後の３枚はウォークの合間に撮ったスナップ写真です。）

Here are the photos I took on the Photo Walk we did in the town of Edinburgh. (The last 3 photos are just snapshots I took while we were walking.)

室内でボケを強めに出して撮りたいお花や食べ物は一眼レフの写真の方が断然良いですが、風景や建物に関してはiPhoneで十分かもと思ったりします。むしろ夫がiPhoneで撮った写真の方が良いんじゃないかと思うのも（笑）。カメラやレンズより撮る角度や立ち位置の方が大事なのですよね。それに、一眼レフのモニターを見ても露出やコントラストが思っているようなものかどうか判断しにくく、iPhoneの方が色が鮮やかに出ますし勝手に上手に調整してくれますからね。

For taking photos of flowers and food indoors, I much prefer using my DSLR because you can adjust the depth of field, but for scenery and buildings I feel those taken by iPhone look as good, or sometimes even better – because where you stand and the angle you take the photo from is so important. I find it hard to judge exposure and contrast on the small monitor on the Canon camera. Photos taken with the iPhone are much more vibrant, too. I know you need to edit the photos taken by DSLR – and I do – but again it’s hard to know how much to fiddle.

一番気に入っているのは、レールを入れて上から下を覗き見るように撮った下から７枚目の写真。

My favourite photo is the 7th one from the bottom, the one where I’m looking down the town with the curved rail on the left.
