もう、街はすっかりクリスマス、カフェでもクリスマスソングが流れていますが、気分は全然盛り上がりません。タングリンモール外の飾りは相変わらず酷くて、なぜにアイビー？？安っぽいのは目をつぶるにしても、せめて柊やもみの枝にしてほしい（涙）。シンガポールのクリスマスの飾りには、いつまで経ってもがっかりしてしまいます。この時期になると、いまだに香港のクリスマスデコレーションが懐かしい。

It’s decorated with Christmas decoration everywhere and Christmas songs are played in cafes already but I don’t feel Christmassy at all.  The Christmas decoration outside Tanglin Mall is as sad as ever, why Ivy??  I guess they cannot spend a lot of money so low quality I can accept but couldn’t they at least use Chrismassy greens like hollies and Christmas tree branches? Every year I feel sad about Christmas decorations here in Singapore.  After all these years, I still miss Hong Kong’s Christmas decorations.

クリスマスカードを作る気分も全然盛り上がらず、困っています、なぜでしょう。１２月はじめには投函しないと間に合わないので、あと２週間しかありません。重い腰を上げて４枚作りました。極めてシンプルなデザイン。もう少し大きめサイズのメッセージのスタンプが良いのですが、ちょうど良いサイズが見つからず。これだけあれば、どこかにあるはずなのですが。。。セーターのような模様は、ゴールドでヒートエンボスしています。元のデザインは、よく参考にさせていただいている Yana Smakula さんのカードです。Yana さんは赤い土台ではなく白い土台にゴールドでエンボスしたものを貼られていて赤いのは封筒の色なのですが、わたしは赤い縁取りにしたかったので赤の土台に貼っています。

I also don’t feel like Christmas cards this year at all and I don’t know why.  I just don’t feel Christmassy.  I need to post them in early December so I have only 2 weeks, so I finally made 4 Christmas cards.  Very simple ones.  I wish I could find a large stamp of a Christmas greeting, the one I used is a little too small.  The original design is from Yana Smakula’s blog.  She uses white card base rather than red and the red trimming you see on her cards are envelops but I wanted red trimming so I used red card base.
