月曜日から出張していて今日戻ってきた夫と、D.O.P Mozzarella Bar & Restaurant でディナーの待ち合わせ。わたしは少し前にお友達と行ったばかりですが、行きたいところを思いつけず。いつもお友達と行くと、そうそう、ここ、割と美味しいのだったと少し経ってから夫とディナーに行くことが多い気がします。
My husband has been away on business since Monday and got back today, so we met at “D.O.P Mozzarella Bar & Restaurant” for dinner. I was there only a few weeks ago, but I have a feeling I go back with my husband for dinner soon after I go there with my friends thinking “Ah, this restaurant isn’t bad, I forgot this one.”
前菜は、モッツァレラボール。中に生ハムとさんドライトマトとモッツァレラが入っています。これは、夫の選択。わたしはこれはちょっと油っこい匂いがするので、少しだけ。
For starter, my husband chose Mozzarella Ball. Inside mozzarella there is some cured ham and dried tomato. I find this smells of oil too strongly for me, so I had just a little bit.
Scialatielli という手打ちパスタ。チーズの入れ物に入っています。前回食べて美味しかったと思いましたが、今回はパスタの食感がちょっと違ったような気も？気のせい？悪くはなかったですが、かなり塩気が強かったです。
Handmade Pasta (Scialatielli) in cheese bowl. I liked this last time when I had it with my friends but the texture of pasta seemed a bit different this time and it seemed quite salty all over. Not bad, though.
そして、USリブアイ。これも塩気がかなり多かったですが、外側は香ばしく中はジューシーで美味しかったです。食べきれなかったので半分持ち帰り。日曜日にタイ風のビーフサラダに使う予定。
Then US Rib eye steak. This was also quite salty but I liked how it’s done. Slightly crunchy outside and caramelised and juicy inside. We had about a half and brought the other half home – we’ll make Thai style beef salad on Sunday.
デザートは、ジェラート。夫はバニラ、わたしはピスタチオ。
For dessert we ordered gelato – vanilla for my husband and pistachio for me.
モンテプルチアーノのワイン１本、ガス入りの水１本。お会計、１９０ドル。悪くないと思います。
A bottle of Montepulciano, a bottle of sparkling water and the total bill was S$190. Not too bad for Singapore.

こちらにもモッツァレラバーがあるので、試しに行ってみようかしら。
「モッツァレラはそんなに好きじゃない」とか言う人がいるんだけど（笑）。
実は、わたしもモッツァレラはあまりすきじゃないんです、クリーミーすぎて。モッツァレラよりさらにフレッシュでクリーミーなブラタチーズが人気で、こちらではどこでも食べられます。帰国された方は日本にはあまりないからとシンガポールに遊びに来るとここのリクエストが多いみたいです、この時は食べませんでしたが少し前にお友達と行ったときはブラタチーズを食べました。２人には多すぎるのですが。
