Pork Normandy

Tonight’s dinner was Pork Normandy.  I used this recipe (Japanese only) but I added onion.  I used English Cider rather than French Cidre.  I tried cider a couple of times before in England but disliked it very much because it was much too sour for me, but this one surprised me, it was actually sweet.  I used a half of a sweet Japanese apple.  Side vegetables are carrots and steam stir-fried cabbage with garlic.  Broccoli would have looked better with the green colour but I had quite a lot of cabbage left in the fridge from Okonomiyaki so wanted to use some.  My husband told me he used to hate cabbage (when it was cooked English way, which is to boil it until dead), but he enjoys it when it’s cooked this way.  It was very good.
