新幹線で博多に向かっていますが、その前に西宮で日本でのお友達との最後のランチ。東京でお目にかかる予定でしたが大阪に転勤になられたので予定を変更して、関西でお目にかかることに。西宮北口のレストランで予約ができるところでわかりやすいところ、ということで、日本滞在の最初の頃に別のお友達とランチをした、西宮ガーデンズの阪急デパートの中の「Chesapeake」で。パスタ以外は、その時のメニューと同じ。お友達の前菜は、鴨の燻製のサラダでした。ビーフの赤ワイン煮のパイ包みの写真を撮り忘れていました。

I’m on the Shinkansen heading to Hakata, but before I left I had my last lunch with a friend in Nishinomiya Kitaguchi. We were originally planning to meet in Tokyo but she recently moved, at short notice from her husband’s company, to Osaka. I don’t know many good restaurants you can book in Nishinomiya Kitaguchi so went back to “Chesapeake”, where I had lunch with another friend earlier in my stay in Japan. I had the same lunch as last time, except the pasta was Aubergine and Tomato today. My friend’s starter was smoked duck salad. I forgot to take a photo of the Beef In Red Wine Pie.

会えないと思っていたけれど、会えてよかったです！関西での日々が楽しいものになりますように！

I’d given up the possibility of seeing her on this trip so it was great that we managed to get together on my last day here. All the best for her and her husband’s stay in Osaka!
