昨日から寒くなって、今朝は２度、また冬に逆戻りです。お天気は良いので家の中にいるとヒーターも効いているので昼間動いていると寒くないのですが、昼間でもじっとしていると寒く感じますし、夜になると冷えてきます。明日は０度まで下がる予報です。
It’s been quite cold again since yesterday – this morning it went down to 2C, back to winter again. The weather has been bright and we have the heating on, it doesn’t seem so cold when we are doing things but it does get cold when we are sitting around and it definitely feels cold at night. The forecast says it’ll go down to 0C.

About the renovation again.
今回は、キッチンに加えたドレッサー（英語ではドレッサーと呼ぶそうです、日本語だと何でしょう）。キッチンの収納が全然足りなかったので、何もなかったところに作っていただきました。キッチンの他のユニットとは違う木のナチュラルな素材にして、別の家具のような雰囲気にしています。下の真ん中には、夫の念願のワインクーラーを入れていただきました。赤ワイン１２本、白ワイン１２本保存できるようになっていて、それぞれに違う温度の設定になっています。上の扉を開けると扉も収納庫になっています。結構幅の広いユニットで、計ってみたら１メートル６４センチあります。
It’s about the dresser in the kitchen today. We didn’t have much storage in the kitchen before, so we added quite a lot, and this is the largest storage. There was nothing on the wall near the garden so we asked the kitchen company to install a dresser. We wanted it to look more like a piece of furniture than a part of the kitchen units so we chose natural dark wood. We have a wine cooler installed in the middle of the lower part, something my husband has been wanting for a long time. It takes 12 red and 12 white wine bottles, controlled at different temperatures. The top half of the dresser is a pantry style storage. The whole unit is quite wide, I just measured it and it’s 1 meter 64 cm.
この壁の裏に玄関横のお勝手口のようなところと裏庭のドアを繋ぐ廊下部分のユーティリティー部分（シンクや洗濯機や乾燥機があるところ）になっているので、このユニットの真ん中にシンクをつけられるのではと思いお願いしてみましたが、工事が大変になると言われたので諦めました。シンク周りは収納が少なくカップやコーヒーやお茶などを収納出来ないので、そういうものはこのユニットに収納するつもりなので、ここにインスタントボイルがあると勝手が良かったのですけど。
Behind this wall is the utility area with a sink, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. I thought it might be easy enough to install a small sink inside this unit with an instant boil tap but we were told the installation will be very complicated so we gave up that idea. It would have been great because we are going to store tea, coffee, cups, saucers, tea pots, coffee machine etc here. There isn’t enough storage for those sort of things near the kitchen sink.
中身は全然整理出来ていません、今はただただ、箱を開けて並べている段階です。箱がなくなったら、もう一度整理し直すことになります。
I haven’t had time to organise this unit yet. We are just putting anything that should go in the dresser as we unpack boxes without thinking much, I’ll organise it once we finish unboxing.
昨日は箱を開けることはしなかったのですが（なんだか他のことで時間が経ってしまいました）、今日は夫と１０箱くらい開けたかな。食器や茶器がだいぶん揃ってきました。やはり収納は足りなさそうですが、１部屋に棚を作って収納に使うつもりなので、一部そちらに収納することになりそうです。１箱に小さなものが６つくらいしか入っていなかったりするので、１０箱と言っても中身はしれているのですが。キッチンとダイニングのものに関しては、あと多分２０箱くらいでしょうかね〜。
We didn’t do any unboxing yesterday, somehow the day went so quickly as we had other chores to do. Today, my husband and I unboxed, I guess, about 10 boxes together, quite a lot of plates and Chinese tea crockeries came out. It doesn’t look like we have enough storage for all the dishes etc in the kitchen and the dining room, so we’ll have to store some dishes we don’t use often in the storage room upstairs. Some boxes have 5 or 6 small things with lots and lots of packing materials, so we probably didn’t unpack that many items. I think about 20 boxes or so are left to unpack with kitchen and dining stuff in.
荷物整理って結構力を使いますよね。パッキング材を押し込むだけでも手が痛くなります。幸い、今の所、朝起きたら良くなっていて酷くはなっていませんが、1日の後半には腰だとか腕だとか親指だとか手首だとか、いろいろなところが痛くなっていますが、幸い、今の所、朝起きたら良くなっていて酷くはなっていません。
Unpacking boxes takes quite a lot of strength, just pushing some of the removed packing materials back into the boxes gives me a pain in my wrists. Fortunately so far at least, I’m OK in the mornings, but later in the day after some work my back, arm, thumb, wrist or somewhere on my body starts aching!
