ガレージからクラフトルームへのリノベーションは、予定より長くかかっていますが進んでいます。壁に漆喰を塗った状態が、こちら。漆喰ってもっと白いものだと思っていましたが、茶色でした。乾くともっと薄い色になりますが、それでも肌色くらいの感じでした。

The renovation work of the garage into a craft room is in progress, though a bit slower than we were originally told.  This picture was taken after they plastered the walls and the ceiling. I always thought that plaster was white, but obviously not.  The colour becomes lighter when it dries, but it’s not close to white.

漆喰が乾いてからペイントの下地を２度塗りして、下地が乾いてからペイントをやはり２度塗り。白く見えますがごくごく淡いグレーです。窓も入りました。

After the plaster dried, they painted undercoat paint twice, then waited until that dried, then painted the paint twice.  It looks white but it’s a very light grey-green.  The new window has been put in, too.

月曜日から床の作業が始まります。
