先ほど少し雨がぱらつきましたが、今は青い空になっています。昨日もとても良いお天気でした。お天気が良くなると、やはり気持ちが良いですね。日本は今年は桜が早くて、週末には東京はもう満開なのだとか。桜、いいですよね〜。気温も２０度近くまで上がっているみたいですね。こちらは、なかなか気温が上がらず、まだほぼ一桁の気温です。明日は、最低気温０度だとか。でも、寒くてもお天気が良いのはありがたいです。

Although it rained a little earlier, it is now looking beautiful with a bright blue sky.  It was a lovely weather yesterday, too.  Bright weather does make you feel brighter.  In Japan, the cherry bloosoms are early this year and apparently they will be in full bloom this weekend in Tokyo.  I love cherry blossoms in Japan!  The temperature there is going up to nearly 20C as well and it does sound like the spring has come.  However, it isn’t so here, the tempearture is still only around 10C or less and expected to go down to 0C tomorrow, which seems very wintery.  Stll at least the sun is out!

クラフトルームのお庭とは反対側の壁部分も棚の取り付け、ペイント、ワークトップの取り付け完了、とてもすっきりしました。

In the new Craft Room the wall opposite from the garden side is now completed, with the shelves all painted and the work top installed, incorporating the drawer units from Ikea that my husband built.

The garden side is also completed now with a worktop.

窓のところも含めて１枚のワークトップになっているので、すっきり。

It has a very clean look because the worktop continues right up to the window without any joints.  They had to take off the original board under the window but it was worth it.

本棚の壁部分に水道の元栓があってアクセス出来る状態にしておかなくてはいけないので、その部分に蓋のようなものをつけていただいてペイントもしたので目立たなくなりました。ちなみに、今は木の色になっている棚板も他の部分と同じ濃いグレーに塗るので、本棚全体（スカーティングボード以外）がグレーになります。

There is a main water incoming pipe on the wall where the big bookshelves are going to be but it is now covered with a board like a lid, which is also painted in the same colour, so it looks much better now.  The shelves haven’t been painted yet but they will be painted with the same colour as the wall, so the bookshelves will be all in the same colour except the skirting board.

今朝、インテリア・デザイナーさんがマットレスを作られる方を連れて来られ、マットレスを作られる方が読書コーナーのマットレスの型をとって行かれました。マットレスの生地、マットレスの上に並べるクッションの生地も決まったので、クッションも今日オーダー。マットレスは２週間くらいで出来上がるそうです。

あとは、今作りつけた本棚の前に左右に移動する本棚とその前にやはり左右に動くパネルを作りつけていただいたら、（入り口のところに作った収納庫部分が残っていますが）クラフトルーム部分は完成です。

Our interior designer brought a guy who makes matresses to work on the reading nook this morning. He measured up and made a pattern with cardboard.  We have decided on the fabrics for the matress and also the scatter cushions today, so they will now be ordered.  The matress will be made and delivered in 2 weeks or so.

The only jobs left now are the 4 bookcases that will move right to left in front of the existing wall-mounted bookshelves and also a couple of panels to be hung in front of those.  Then finally they will install some shelves in the pantry area near the door.
