先日お庭に植えられたクリスマスローズ、一昨日見たら１つのお花が茎から地面に倒れていて、近寄って見ると折れてました（涙）。他のはどれも元気なのですが、１本だけ。植えられた翌日くらいにとても強い風が吹いていたのでそのせいなのか、リスかなにかが折ってしまったのか。花瓶に入れてみたら、今のところ元気に綺麗に咲いていて、蕾から１つ咲きました。日本では切花のクリスマスローズもあるようですが、こちらでは、少なくともこの辺りでは切花としては見かけたことありません。

One of the Helleborus that were planted in our garden the other day was broken a couple of days ago.  So sad!  All the others are looking good, but one was broken, so I put it in a vase . There was only one open flower when I put it in the vase but one of the buds opened up since and it’s looking good.  I know in Japan you can buy Helleborus as cut flowers but I don’t think you can here, at least I haven’t seen them in flower shops around here.
