今日は朝から夜までずっと雨が降っていました。水不足は１日の雨では解決しないでしょうから、しばらく降った方が良いのかも。村にある池はカラカラで、池の中のお魚たちを側に置いた簡易プールに避難させていると聞きました。

It rained from morning to night, all day, today.  I guess we need more rain as we hadn’t had any for such a long time.  I’m told that the pond in our village had gone completely dry and they had to rescue the fish by putting them all in a temporary pool that they built beside the pond.

今日の夕食は、ベーコン、茄子、トマトのパスタ。日本にはわたしが若かった頃からあるパスタで、そのせいかどうか時々とても食べたくなります。茄子を焼くのがちょっと面倒ですが。チリも入れてピリ辛にしました。あ〜、美味しかった！

Today’s dinner was pasta with bacon, aubergine & tomato.  This is a sort of pasta we  had since when I was very young in Japan, and maybe that’s why, but I sometimes suddenly crave for it.  I added a little chilli to make it a little spicy (but I think I should have used 2 chillis).  It was yummy!
