Pasta Bake


There was some sauce for pork belly paupiette that we cooked from the Zoom cooking lesson I took the other day, so we used it for a pasta bake for tonight.   I sauteed diced courgette and added it to the sauce, then mixed it with cooked pennne and poured over some white sauce that my husband made.  Then scattered on some breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese, and baked in the oven until the top browned.  We usually use ragu (meat sauce) and white sauce for this sort of dish, but using just tomato sauce makes it much lighter – it was very tasty.
