今日は気持ちの良い青空が広がる良いお天気！気温も高すぎず２１、２度なので暑過ぎず、心地よいです。今日はお友達ご夫婦とランチをして来ました。日曜日なので、サンデー・ロースト。わたしがイギリス留学していた時はほとんどのご家庭で毎週日曜日のランチに「ローストディナー」を食べていたと思うイギリスの伝統ですが、最近は家で食べずたまに外でいただく方が多いと思います。お友達ご夫婦とは香港で知り合い、イギリスに引っ越してきてからは２ヶ月に１度くらいお目にかかっています。行ったのは、Bosham にある「Millstream Inn」のレストラン。お友達ご夫婦のお気に入りのレストラン。

It’s a beautiful day today, not a cloud in the sky and not too hot either, just a nice temperature.   We had a Sunday Lunch with friends at the “Millstream Inn” in Bosham today.  We first met them when we were all living in Hong Kong so we’ve known them for a long time, but hadn’t met very often until we moved to England.  Now we try to see them once every couple of months or so.  This is one of their favourite restaurants.

今日は全員、ローストビーフでした。ローストポテトは焼きたらない感じで塩胡椒もされていなかったのでわたしはほとんど残しましたが、他は全員完食。ヨークシャープディングが特に美味しい。

We all had Roast Beef today.  The potatoes weren’t roasted enough and didn’t have any seasoning so I didn’t enjoy them and left most of them but everyone else had a clean plate.  Their Yorkshire pudding is particularly good.

デザートは、夫とお友達はプロフィタロール（シュー生地にホイップクリークを詰めて上からチョコレート）、お友達のご主人はパンナコッタ、わたしはクレーム・ブリュレ。

For dessert, my friend and my husband had profiteroles, her husband had Panna Cotta and I had Creme Brulee.

美味しかったですが量が多かったので、夫に３分の１くらい食べてもらいました。

It was good but quite a large portion so my husband helped me with about 1/3.

今日もなんだかんだと、たくさんおしゃべりしました。主にテレビ番組のことと旅行。お２人はクルーズに良く行かれるので、最近乗られたクルーズのお話や次回のクルーズのお話などなど。我が家も真剣にクルーズを考え中ですが、クルーズって結構先まで予約が埋まっているので実際に乗れるのはしばらく先だと思います。

We chatted a lot again but the main subjects were TV programmes and holidays.  They go on cruises quite often so they told us about their last cruise and the planes next cruise.  We are now seriously thinking about going on a cruise ourselves but good ones tend to get booked up months or even a year or two in advance so I guess we won’t actually be on one for a little while.
