旅行から戻ってくる途中、ランチの後で寄ったところを書き忘れていたので、別記事にしました。

I forgot to post where we stopped on our way home from our trip after lunch, so I’ll post about it here.

ランチをしたところのすぐ近くの Bramley という村にある教会。この村に１８０年くらい前の夫の先祖が住んでいてこの教会の墓地にお墓があるということで、墓跡を探しに寄りました。残念ながら墓石に掘られている文字が読めたものにはなく、古いものはどれも文字が読めないくらい風化してしまっていて探せなかったのですが。（夫はファミリー・ツリー（家系図）作りをしていてその頃まで遡って家系図が出来ています。）

Near where we had lunch, there is a village called Bramley, where my husband’s ancestors lived something like 180 years ago and they are buried in the churchyard of this church so we went here to find the grave stones.  However, the graves were mostly worn and faded, other than a couple of newer ones, so we weren’t able to find them.

そして、もう１箇所寄ったのが、Secretts というファームショップ。とても規模が大きくて見ていて楽しいところなのですが、我が家からは少し距離があるのでなかなか行けないのです。チーズやスパイスやお野菜など色々買って来ました。

Another place we stopped at was a farm shop “Secretts”, which is very large and has great selections.  It’s a little too far for us to go from home so it was nice to be able to stop on our way past.  We bought some cheese, spices, vegetables etc.
