今日は、予定通り近くのパン屋さんで買ったサンドイッチを食べて、まだあったりんごと冷凍していた御座候も食べて、早めのランチにし、さっとお掃除をして、タクシーで関空リムジン乗り場まで乗り、予定のリムジンバスに乗り、関空で先に送っていた荷物をピックアップし、チェックインし、今、ラウンジでフライト待ち中です。

All went as planned today, we bought some sandwiches from the bakery near us and had them for an early lunch. We also had the one apple that was left and also the Japanese sweets that we’d frozen as well. We then did a quick cleaning, got a cab to the Kansai Airport Limousine Bus stop, got on one that we planned to get on, arrived on time, picked up the luggage that we had sent from the apartment a few days earlier, checked in for our flight and are now in the lounge waiting for boarding.

細かな間違いはありましたが、大失敗はないまま無事に1ヶ月の旅行が終わりました。寂しい気持ちはありますが、ここまで来ると自分の家でゆっくりとするのが楽しみでもあります。セントラルヒーティングは携帯で遠隔操作出来て日曜日に入れているので（1日中ではなく寒い時間帯だけ）、家に戻る頃には暖かくなっていると思います。冷え切ってしまうと温まるまで時間がかかるので、遠隔操作が出来るのは便利。

Although we made a few little mistakes, we didn’t make any major ones and a month of a holiday in Japan has been wonderful. Although I feel a little sad that it’s ended, now, I am also looking forward to being back to our own home, sleeping in our own bed and enjoying being at home. Our central heating can be controlled from afar with my husband’s iPhone so he put the heating on on Sunday (not all day but just when it’s cold) so it’ll be warm enough when we get back. Once the house is completely cold it takes a while to warm up so it is great to be able to control it from wherever we are.

今回の旅行は4年半ぶり、ということもあり、こんなに長い日本滞在は初めてということもあり何かと不安もありましたし、わからないこともありましたが、クレジットカードがずいぶん普及していたこと、空港バスもICOCAが使えること、インターネット接続にeSimが便利なことなどなど、色々と新しくわかったこともあり、次回の滞在に役に立つと思います。

As we hadn’t travelled much for 4 and a half years, and this was the first time we stayed in Japan together for this long, there were quite a few practical things that we had been unsure about, but we found out that credit cards are now used widely, ICOCA (pre-paid transport card) can be used even for the airport limousine bus, and eSIM is a very convenient way to get roaming internet – all very useful.

イギリスの夏のようなお天気からいきなり最後の数日で冬になり、ちょっと戸惑いましたが、ほとんど雨に降られずに良いお天気に恵まれたのも有り難かったです。

Although the sudden change from summer weather (English summer anyway) to winter weather in the last few days was a bit of a shock, we cannot complain as we had only 1 rainy day and almost all the other days were very sunny,

今回はお友達に会うのは難しいかと思っていましたが、遠くから会いにきて下さった方達の方々にお目にかかることができて、そして夫も一緒に食事にお招きくださったお友達もいらして、有り難く楽しく、嬉しかったです。会いたかったな〜と思うお友達のお顔が沢山浮かびますが、ぜひイギリスにいらしてください！

I thought it would be difficult or me to see my friends this time because of the situation, but some friends came to see us from far away and a friend invited me and my husband to meals unexpectedly, I am very grateful. We had such a good time with all of them. There are many other friends I would have loved to see but couldn’t, so I hope they’ll come and see us in England!

イギリスのお天気は日本と同じような気温ですが、雨は多そうです。でも、お日様マークもあるので、最悪のお天気からは脱出したのかな？

The temperature in England looks more or less the same as Kobe but with more rain. I can see some sun marks as well. though, so maybe the worst weather period is over? Hope so!
