今日は、アランデルで２週間に一度の刺繍の会の集まりがあったので、お隣のお友達と集まりの前に「Cockburn’s Tea Room」でランチをしました。わたしは、コロネーションチキンサンド。ここは味付けが丁度良くて、添えられているポテトサラダも美味しい。
There was a gathering today of the embroidery group that I belong to. Before joining the group, my next door neighbour friend and I had lunch at “Cockburn’s Tea Room”. I had Coronation Chicken Sandwich. Their seasoning is always good and the small salad on the side is also nice.
わたしは旅行に出ていたので、参加したのは1ヶ月ぶり。集まりでは、旅行前に行ったときにメンバーの方がワークショップをしてくださり、ゴールドを使った小さな刺繍をしたのですがそれがまだ途中なので、続きをしました。体調を崩している人が多いらしく、集まったのは１０人足らずの小グループでした。
I was away on holiday 2 weeks ago so it’s been a month since I was at the gathering last, but when I was there last, one of the members gave us a goldwork workshop and I hadn’t finished it so I just worked on that. It looks like some people aren’t well and the group was small, about 10 or fewer of us.
それにしても、寒い！今日はお天気がそれほど良くなく、お昼頃まではまぁまぁでしたがその後雨がぱらついたりもして、風も強くて、余計に寒く感じました。いろいろなところでブルーベルを見かけるのでそろそろ見に行きたいと思うのですが、お天気予報によるとこの先数日は雨だったり曇っていたり、気温も明後日は１度まで下がるらしく、いやはや、いつになったら暖かくなるのか。今月末くらいから少し暖かくなるようですが。。。
Buuuur! It’s so cold. The weather wasn’t very good today, it was OK until around lunch time but then it rained a little or was cloudy and the wind was strong so it really felt wintery, I’m still wearing a winter coat. We see bluebells everywhere so we’d like to go to see a field of them but it doesn’t look like the weather will improve in the next few days. Apparently, it’ll get down to 1C on Wednesday!! Wow, that is really a winter temperature. When will it get warmer? Looks like it’ll get a bit warmer at the end of the month but still not so springy.
