今年は早くロンドンに行ったのでクリスマスのライティングは見られないと諦めていたのですが、ロンドンにお住まいのお友達のストーリーにリージェントのライティングが帰ってくる前に点灯されると知ったので、帰って来る前日に少し歩いてクリスマスのライティングを楽しみました。毎年同じというのがちょっとつまらない気はしますが、いつも綺麗です。ただ、さすがにまだ１１月の中旬にもなっていなかったので、クリスマス気分とまでは行かなかったですが、いろいろなところでもうクリスマスツリーも飾られ始めていました。

We were in London for our year-end visit early this year so we didn’t think we would be able to see the Christmas lights this time, but I read on an Instagram Story of my friend who lives in London that the Regent Street lights would be on before we came back, so we went to see them and walked in the street a little on the day before we came back.  I feel it’s a shame they are the same every year but at least they are very tasteful and beautiful.  However, as it wasn’t even the middle of November yet, I cannot say we felt very Christmassy.  We also saw quite a lot of places starting to have Christmas trees, too.
