昨日はガトウィック空港内にある「Bloc」というホテルに泊まりました。カプセルホテルだからね、とは言われていましたが、冗談だと思っていました、ドアを開けてびっくり。携帯ですが、ワイドで撮ってこの狭さ。トイレとシャワーと洗面台も１つの狭い空間。そして、なぜパープル？ We stayed at a hotel inside the airport “Bloc”. Chilli Con Carne
今日の夕食は、夫のリクエストでチリ・コンカーニでした。こういうものは大抵の方がそうだと思いますが、スパイスなどは適当に目分量で作るので、毎回多少味が違ってしまいます。イマイチだなと思う時もあれば、今日は特に美味しいと思う時もあり。今日は美味しい日でした。 Today’s dinner was Chilli Con Carne, which was what my husband wanted to have today. 今日は１日雨で暗く、強風も吹いていて外出したくないお天気でした。幸い何も外出予定がなかったので、家でのんびりと過ごしました。 It was a very wet and windy miserable day today. Not the sort of weather that makes you want to go out. Fortunately, we had no reason that we had to go out so just spent the day in our warm comfortable home. 日本ではクリスマスが終わって、もうクリスマスの飾りはすっかり撤収してしまってお正月の準備にかかられていると思いますが、こちらはまだまだクリスマスの続きで、飾りも基本的には（もちろんそれぞれの都合で早く撤収する方もおられると思いますが）１月６日前後まで残してあります。日本と違って宗教的な意味合いが強いイベントで、日本の商業ベースのイベントとは全く違っています。多分、日本で初めてクリスマスを過ごす西洋の方達は２５日にクリスマスの飾りを撤収するのを見て驚くはず。２５日こそがクリスマス当日ですし、お正月の１日にお正月飾りを撤収するようなものですからね。我が家でも多分６日ごろに片付けると思います。 In Japan, people would be preparing for the New Year,…
