今日は、ペットワースの美容院にカットに行ってきました。少し遠いのですが４５分くらいで終わるので夫に待ってもらっています、なのでここでは基本的にカットのみ、カラーは時間がかかリますし（夫に待っていてもらえない）頻度も多いので、家からもっと近いところに行っています。
We went to a hair salon in Petworth today to have my hair cut. Although it’s a bit far, the cut takes only 45 minutes so it’s not too bad for my husband to wait. Having my hair coloured takes much longer and too long for my husband to wait (a little less than 2 hours) and also I need to go more often so I go to Chichester for that as it’s closer.
今日の夕食は、時々食べたくなるスパゲティー・ナポリタン。「愛されてる妻」さんのブログでレトルトの「焼きナポリタン」なるものを見たせいかも知れません。実は何度かアップされていて美味しそうだったので日本にいる間にスーパーで気をつけて見ていたのですが、見つけられませんでした。ということで、今日の夕食。ケチャップだけだとちょっと濃すぎる気がするので、少しパッサータも混ぜています。そして、ナポリタンには絶対にタバスコも必要！あ〜、美味しかった！
Today’s dinner was Spaghetti Napolitan in a Japanese way. I’ve written this a few times but this spaghetti dish is something most Japanese of my generation grew up with and something a bit nostalgic, something I get a craving for now and again. I saw a post on this Japanese lady’s blog, which might’ve made me want to have this dish, although hers was not made in quite the same way. Hers is “Baked Pasta Napolitan”, which comes in a pack of short pasta and pasta sauce. I feel seasoning it just with ketchup (which used to be the way) makes it a little too ketchupy so I added a little passata. And, you HAVE to have tabasco as well. So good!
ところで、UKで配偶者ビザをいただくには様々な要求がありますが、その中の１つに扶養する側（わたしたちの場合夫）の年間収入最低18600ポンド（日本円で３４５万円）が要求されていました。ところが、移民者を減らすため、突然、次回のビザ更新時から最低収入を月に38700ポンド（７１６万円）に引き上げると発表されました。配偶者ビザだけでなく就労ビザも同様。もう既に仕事に就いたり結婚したりしてこちらで生活している人も次回の更新時にその金額以上の年間収入がないと、追い出されるとのこと。１０年間上げていないから、とのことですが、夫が言うにはこの１０年間での物価の値上がりは30%だそうです、なのに倍です！酷すぎませんか？幸い、わたしたちは大丈夫ですが、そうでない場合、どうすれば良いのでしょうか？本当に信じられないニュースです。
By the way, there has been some significant bad news for those who need a visa to live here in the UK. There are quite a lot of requirements to get a resident visa here, including a minimum annual income of £18,600. However, to reduce the number of immigrants, the government announced that the minimum income is in future going to be £38,700 – more than double! They say that the new minimum income will be applied from the next renewal of a visa. So, for those who are here working or being married already, but don’t have permanent residence and don’t have enough income, what should they do? They say they hadn’t increased it for 10 years but according to my husband the increase in average salaries in the last 10 years here is only 30%, so why double it? Fortunately, we are OK but it breaks my heart when I think of people who will not be OK. If we didn’t have enough income, what are we supposed to do? I cannot believe this news.
