今日は何も予定が入っていない日だったので、ランチとお茶の時間の間に１時間ほどバックガーデンの草抜きをしました。気温は１７度くらいだったみたいですがとにかく日差しが強くて陽が当たるところで作業をしていると暑くて汗だくになりましたが、日陰は風もあって涼しかったです。バックガーデンは大分雑草が少なくなったので、次回はフロントガーデンを頑張ります。雨もすっかり少なくなったので土もとても乾いていたので、夫に水遣りもしてもらいました。これからは、草抜きと水遣りの繰り返しになります。 We didn’t have anything on today, so we did some gardening between lunch and tea time, I worked hard at weeding and my husband helped me with putting some large twigs in the bin and watered the gardens. 今日は良いお天気になりました。気温もそこそこあったようなのですが風が強くて、まだまだ寒く感じます。 今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Honey Mustard Sausage and Red Onion Gravy」（ハニーマスタードソーセージと赤玉ねぎのグレービー）でした。夫が好きなソーセージ、マッシュポテトは普通のポテトとスィートポテトを合わせたもの。イギリス式にはしっかりマッシュしてバターとミルクで滑らかな食感にしますが、わたしはバターやミルクの味が苦手なので軽めに潰してオリーブオイルを少し加えたものにしています。グリーンビーンズはただ塩茹でするだけのレシピでしたが塩茹ではあまり好きではないので、ニンニクと一緒に蒸し炒めにしました。美味しくいただきました。 It was very nice and sunny today and the temperature went up to something like 19C but it was very windy and still felt quite cold. Short Pasta With Beef Goulash & Tomato Sauce
お庭の草抜きも気になっていますが、今日は時間がなくお庭仕事はしないまま。ネイルサロンと美容院の梯子、間にランチ、な１日でした。 I went to my nail salon, had lunch with my husband, then went to have my hair coloured – so no time for gardening although I feel very uneasy not to have done some. 夕食は、ショートパスタ、ソースは冷凍していたビーフのグーラッシュと缶トマトを合わせてチリを足してぴりっとさせました。ショートパスタは黄レンティルで出来たパスタで茹で時間は９分から１０分となっていたので７分くらいでチェックしたら既に柔らかすぎました（涙）。でも、まぁ、ソースは美味しく出来たので（というか、シチューの残りを使うと必ず美味しい）思っていたよりは美味しくいただけました。夫が作ってくれたサラダと。次回はもっと早くからチェックします。 Today’s dinner was short pasta with a sauce I made with leftover Beef Goulash I found in the freezer…

夕方５時半ごろ、ローマから戻って来ました！今日はイギリスのお天気もとても良くて、気持ち良かったです、お天気アプリには１６度とありましたがもっと暖かく感じました。ただ、まだ夕方以降ぐんと冷えて４度とか５度とか一桁台なので、昨日から暖房は入れていましたしましばらく暖房は必要なようです。 We got back home from Rome today around 5:30 pm!
