MacBook Nano And Lunch At “Dishoom Permit Room” In Brighton

前後しますが、月曜日はブライトンに行ってきました。車で１時間ほどかかるので６年前に住み始めてから2、３度しか行ったことがなかったのに、このほん何週間かの間に３度も。この間は、わたしのiPhoneが結構古苦なってきたのでそろそろ新しいのを買ったらと夫が言ってくれて、どれが良いか実物を見に行ったのですが（この辺りにはアップルショップがない）、わたしは今の大きなのが気に入っていて、新しくすると小さくなる上に一番高いもの以外はカメラの広角レンズがつかない、そして一番高いのはかなりなお値段ということで、今のところ今使っているiPhoneで問題ないし、カメラの広角レンズももキープしたいのでとりあえず新しくしないことにしました。

Going back to Monday, we went to Brighton again. As it takes us about an hour by car, we had been there only 2 or 3 times in 6 years but we happened to go there 3 times in the last few weeks. Last time, we went to look at new iPhones because mine is a few years old and my husband thought I should get a new one. (No Apple Shop around here.) However, I like my large size iPhone and the new ones are all smaller. Besides, except for the most expensive one (which we find very expensive) the cameras on the latest models don’t have a wide lens. I’m not having any problems with my current one and I do want to have the wide lens so we decided not to get a new one yet.

で、今日は、つい最近出た MacBook Nano をわたし用に夫がオーダーしてくれたので、それをピックアップに行ったのでした。最近はコンピューターの方が携帯電話より安くなってびっくり。わたしは普段はデスクトップを使っているのですが、旅行先では昔は普通のラップトップを使っていました。その後何度かラップトップを買い替えましたが、イギリスに来てからはひとりで旅行することがなくなって（以前はわたしだけ日本に帰ることも多かった）夫がいつもラップトップを持っているのでわたしは必要ないかなということで iPad に切り替えていました。なのですが、今回、MacBook の値段がぐんと下がったのでMacBook に切り替えたという次第です。旅行先での写真編集などはやはりラップトップの方がやりやすいのではないかと思っています。

This time we went to the Apple Shop again to pick up a new MacBook Nano that my husband ordered for me. It’s such a surprise that the laptop is less expensive than the most expensive iPhone now. I used to carry a laptop with me whenever I was away and have had a few of them over the years, but since we moved to England I don’t travel on my own any longer (I used to go to Japan on my own) so I switched from laptop to iPad, which is less expensive, easier to carry and enough for what I need. However, this MacBook Nano is much less expensive than previous Macbooks so we thought it might be a good one to get. Hopefully it’ll make it easier to update my blog while we are away.

色は、ピンク。写真には上手く写らないのですが、ピンクといっても薄ーいピンクゴールドのようなピンクです。

I chose Pink for the colour, not easy to show on photos but it’s like a very faint pink gold, very subtle.

で、せっかくブライトンまで行ったので、ランチもしてきました。前々回に行った、ロンドンの Dishoom の姉妹店のようなお店、Dishoom Permit Room.

As we were in Brighton we also had a nice lunch. We went back to Dishoom Permit Room, where we had lunch the time before last, it’s like a sister restaurant of Dishoom in London.
