ロンドンでは、今回はコノート・ホテルに宿泊しました。ずいぶん昔に泊まったことがありましたが、久しぶりでした。わたしたちが行きたいところが比較的近くにあって便利でした。 We stayed at The Connaught on our London trip this time. We’d stayed there many years ago and since then the have built a new wing, which is where our room was. Many places we wanted to go to were within walking distance of the hotel, which was good.

My Neighbour Totoro
先ほど書いたように、先週の火曜日の夜はお芝居「隣のトトロ」を見に行きました。一昨年かその前の年だったかにしばらく上演されていてお友達のお知り合いが出ておられるということもあり、日本のアニメが元になっているということもあり見に行きたいと思ったのですが、その時はもうチケットは売り切れていました。今回、また上演されているということで行ってみることに。ただ、アニメはそれほど興味がないので、隣のトトロももちろんそのタイトルは馴染みがありますしトトロの絵も見かけてはいますが、そのストーリーは知らないまま行きました。 As I wrote earlier, we went to see the play “My Neighbour Totoro” on Tuesday last week in London. 無事にロンドンから今日の夕方自宅に戻りました。数日のブログが追いついていませんが、近いうちにアップします。今日は夕食を作る気分にならなかったので、途中でウェイトローズのスープ（人参とバターナッツスクウォッシュとタラゴンのスープ）を買って来ました。まずいとは言わないまでもあまり好みの味ではなかったので、もう買わないかな。やっぱり、家で作る方が美味しいですよね。。。スーパーでスープを買うたびに思います（笑）。 We are back safely from London this evening. Dinner At “Bubala” In London
昨日のランチはソーホーの「Bubala」というベジタリアンの中近東料理のレストランに行きました。マンゴーやライムオイルを乗せたフムス(凄く滑らかでねっとりした食感が美味しかった)きゅうりのサラダ(中華風な味付け)、ファラフェル(ドライ過ぎず美味しかった)、人参のロースト(外側焦げ過ぎ、中は柔らか過ぎ、味付けはしょっぱ過ぎてこれはわたしは食べられなかった)。フラットブレッドも美味しかったです。 We went to a vegetarian Middle-Eastern restaurant, “Bubala” in Soho. 昨日のディナーは、ソーホーのスリランカ料理のレッスン「ホッパーズ」で。スリランカには旅行で行ったので色々思い出しながら、美味しく頂きました。セットがお得でした。 We had dinner at a Sri Lankan restaurant, “Hoppers”.
