今日は朝から１日とっても良いお天気。お昼前に夫に、「Leonardslee Lakes & Gardensに行きたいんだけど。」と言うと、夫、「今日は行けない、３時過ぎてから屋根の修理に来るから。」と。残念、せっかく良いお天気だし、明日からしばらく雨みたいだから今日行きたかったのに、と言いながら諦めてクラフトルームでネットをしたりしていると、誰２時前に来ていたので早いけど屋根の修理かなと思っていたらやはりそうだったそうで、近くにいるから今から行っても良いかと連絡があったそう。ということで、２時ごろに出かけました。（ちなみに、屋根からの水漏れでこの何ヶ月かの間に何度か修理に来てもらっているのですが直らず、どうも簡単な修理では済まないらしく、屋根の一部を取ってやりかえなくてはいけないそうで、修理代は£５０００近く、日本円で978000円かかるとのことで、ショックです、涙。） It’s been a beautiful day all day today! Magnolia (Sir Harold Hillier Gardens)
昨日は久しぶりに良いお天気になったので、「Sir Harold Hillier Gardens」にマグノリアを見に行きました。我が家から車で１時間程度。今年は（というより、去年の７月くらいからずっとです）お天気がずっと悪くて晴れる日がとても少ないのですが、この冬はあまり寒くならず気温が高めなせいか、春のお花が早い気がします。マグノリアも早目に咲いたみたいで結構散っていましたし、雨で傷んでいるお花が多かったのですが、少し離れて見ればピンクで綺麗。（多分？）桜や椿、そしてもうさつきやつつじも咲いていました。 As the weather was lovely all day yesterday, we visited “Sir Harold Hillier Gardens” to see the magnolias. Lunch Together With Old Friends We Met In Hong Kong
今日は、２泊してくださったお友達ご夫婦と一緒に、オーストラリアから旅行でイギリスにいらしている共通のお友達ご夫婦と６人でランチをご一緒しました。全員、香港で会ったお友達なので、知り合って１６、７年になると思います。オーストラリアからのご夫婦ともシンガポールで何度かお目にかかっているので、わたしたちはどちらのご夫婦とも何年前にお目にかかっていますが、オーストラリアのご夫婦とニュージーランドのご夫婦は最後に会ってからもう１０年以上になるそうです。オーストラリアからのご夫婦は良く長期旅行をされていて、今回はスコットランドからロンドンを経由してサウスハンプトンにいらして、サウスハンプトンからアイスランドなどに行くクルーズに乗られろそうです。サウスハンプトンは我が家から１時間程度のところなので、ニュージーランドからのご夫婦が泊まりに来てくださるタイミングを合わせて６人で集まることが出来ました。 We had lunch with the friends who have been staying with us, together with another couple of friends from Australia, who are here on holiday.
