Lunch At “Purchases” In Chichester
日本でも香港でもシンガポールでも、基本的にほぼ毎週金曜日は外食をしていましたが、イギリスに来てからはどんどん外食の頻度が減っています。今でも出かけたついでに軽いものをカフェで食べたり、The Brasserie Blanc で何かしらの催しがある前に早い夕食を食べたりということはしていますが、ランチらしいランチやディナーらしいディナーに出かけることがすっかり減ってしまいました。イギリスに住み始めた頃はもっと出かけていたのですが、なかなか美味しいものにありつけず、値段がどんどん上がって「こんなに出してこんなに美味しくない」という経験が多過ぎて行きたいレストランがほとんどないのです。ですが、しばらくちゃんとしたレストランに行ってないからたまには行きたいね、ということで、急遽、チチェスターの「Purchases」にランチに行きました。ここはこの辺りではかなり美味しい方なので時々行っていたのですが、しばらく前に20%くらい値上げして、アラカルトをオーダーするとびっくりするお値段になったので足が遠のいていました。 When we lived in Japan, Hong Kong & Singapore, we basically went out for dinner every Friday, but since we moved to England we are eating out less and less frequently.
