今日はペットワースの美容院に行ったので、帰りに Cowdray Farmshop & Cafe で軽いランチをしました。ペットワースもCowdray も人が多くてびっくり、何かあったのかと思いましたが特に何か催しがあったわけではなさそうで、多分今日は土曜日なのと久しぶりにとてもお天気が良かったからかなと思います。この数日結構気温が低く（昨日は最低気温１度でした）お天気もあまりよくなく、少し前に春めいたのに冬に逆戻りした感じだったので、お天気が良かった今日はみなさん外に出られたのでしょう。

I had an appointment at my hair salon in Petworth so we had lunch at Cowdray Farmshop & Cafe on our way back.  We were surprised with how many people there were in Petworth and also at Cowdray, we first thought there was some event but we didn’t see anything special going on so I guess it was just because it was a Saturday and the weather was beautiful.  It’s been quite cold in the last few days and not such good weather so I guess everyone wanted to go out today with such sunny weather.

ランチは、夫はソーセージロール、わたしはパン付きの今日のスープ。今日のスープは赤パプリカとトマトとチリのスープと聞いていたのですが、ほとんどトマトスープという感じでした。確かに赤パプリカの香りはしましたがあまり味はせず、チリの辛味も感じられず、トマトの酸味が際立った（わたしは酸っぱいものが基本的に苦手）スープでした。夫のソーセージロールは思っていたより小さかったです。

My husband had a Sausage Roll and I had Today’s Soup, which came with bread.  The soup was Red Pepper, Tomato & Chilli but it was more like just a tomato soup.  I did detect some smell of red pepper but couldn’t taste much of it and couldn’t taste any chilli either, it was quite a sour (and I’m not fond of sour taste) tomato soup.  My husband’s sausage roll was smaller than I expected.

ランチの後、２０分弱ですが腹ごなしに少し辺りを歩きました。逆光だったので暗く写っていますが、真っ空な空と白い雲でした。ただ、気温は１０度くらいと低く風もあったので行きは背中に太陽が当たって暖かかったのですが、折り返して戻ってくる時は顔に寒風が当たって寒かったです。

After lunch, we walked for about 20 minutes near there.  This photo looks dark because the sun was agaist us but the sky was blue with white fluffy clouds.  The temperature wasn’t high (about 10C) and there was some breeze so it was warm with the sun on our back but cold with the wind on our faces when we turned around to walk back.
