今日は、所属している刺繍の会の夏のアフタヌーンティーの集まり、でした。去年の夏もだったのですが、今年もメンバーの方のお１人のお家を使わせていただだきました。お家を提供された方以外の持ち寄りだったのですが（苺を持って来た人、飲み物を持って来た人もいたので、買っても良い）、わたしは久しぶりにミニカヌレを焼いて持って行きました。（シンガポール時代にフランス菓子教室で習ったもの。）アレルギーがある人もおられるので、それぞれ、使った材料も明記。美味しく焼けました！
There was an afternoon tea gathering of my embroidery group at the house of one of the members’. Except the member who opened up her house, we all took some food to share (you don’t need to make anything, you can just buy something, one of them brought a bowl of strawberries). I baked mini cannele, I hadn’t baked them for quite a while. Some people have some allergies so you need to write down all the ingredients. They were yummy! (The recipe was from the French Baking Class I was taking in Singapore.)
ただ、日本人なら誰でも知っていますが、カヌレを知っている人は一人もいなかった。というのも、こういう田舎で見かけたことがありません。そもそも、美味しいフランス系のケーキ屋さんそのものがないですしね。ロンドンでは見かけました。なので、説明が難しかったです。
The only thing is that everyone in Japan knows cannele but nobody today knew them and it was difficult to explain what they are. However, I must say I’ve never seen them around here, although I did see some in London. There isn’t any nice French patisserie around here so I suppose people don’t know them, unlike in Japan.
この後で２皿くらい更に追加されました。全員で（お家の提供をされた方も含め）１１名の集まりでした。前回はケーキがたくさんあり結構残ってお持ち帰りをしましたが、今日は塩味系が多かったので残ったのは少しだけでした。どれも、とても美味しかったです。
After I took these photos, one or two more dishes were added, there were 11 of us in total. Last year, there was a lot of sweet things and a lot was left over at the end, which we shared and took home. This year there were many savouries so not a lot of left-overs. Everything was yummy.
