今日は、結構雨が降りました。お昼すぎにネイルサロンに行った頃にはやんでいたので、戻って来てしばらくお庭仕事をしました。結構雑草が生えているのに気づいてしまったので（笑）。そして、明日、香港時代の日本からのお友達が泊まりに来てくださるので、お家の中を一応お掃除したり、ゲストルームをチェックしたり。明日、明後日はお天気があまり良くなさそうで残念。この間チェックした時はお天気良さそうだったのですが（涙）。
It rained quite a lot in the morning today but by the time I had to leave for my nail salon in Chichester it had stopped so when we got back home I did some gardening again because I saw some area with lots of weeds. Then I did some cleaning of the house and the guest’s room to prepare for a good friend of mine (from Hong Kong days from Japan) to come and stay with us. It’s a shame that it doesn’t look very nice weather for the next couple of days. When I checked the forecast just the day before yesterday it looked OK.
今日の夕食は、昨日大量に作ったモロッコのハリラスープの一部に小さなパスタを入れて、軽い夕食にしました。
Today’s dinner was Moroccan Harira soup because we made a large portion yesterday. We added some pasta to it today and had just the soup as a light evening meal.
明日いらっしゃるお友達とは去年１０月から１１月にかけて日本に行った時に何度かお目にかかっているので、ちょうど１年ぶりくらいです。ご旅行のお話もお聞きしたいし、お料理教室の先生なので一緒にお料理を作るのも楽しみ。お天気、良くなってくれないかな〜。ちなみに、来週はギリシャのコルフ島に旅行に行くのですが、コルフ島のお天気予報も毎日コロコロと変わっていてチェックする意味ない感じなんですが、せずにはいられない（笑）。
We last saw the friend who is arriving tomorrow in October/November in Japan last year so it’s been just about a year since then . There is a lot to catch up including her recent travel in Portugal and Paris. I’m also looking forward to cooking together with her because she is a cooking teacher and used to run a restaurant. I do hope we’ll have some nice weather while she is with us. Talking about the weather, we are going to Corfu in Greece next week for a holiday and I’ve been checking the weather there, but it also changes all the time! I know there isn’t much point checking it too early but I just cannot help it!
