明日の朝8時25分のフライトでギリシャのコルフ島に向かいます。オールドタウンの中に5泊した後、街から30分くらいにあるリゾートに5泊、というホリデーです。コルフ島には春のクルーズで寄港してとても感じの良い街だったこと、知り合いが良く行かれていて良さそうなホテルやリゾートがあったことからコルフ島に決めました。
We are leaving on a 8:25am flight for Corfu in Greece tomorrow morning for a holiday. We’ll be staying at a hotel in the Old Town for 5 nights, then in a resort, which is about 30 minutes from Old Town for another 5 nights. When we were there in the spring on our cruise we liked the place and someone we know also loves it. Another reason why we chose the place is because we found a good looking hotel and resort.
今日は、ネイルサロンと美容院の梯子をして、その間に先日もお友達と行った「Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom」で軽くランチをしました。
So, I went to my nail salon then the hair salon today and had lunch with my husband between the appointments. We went to ‘Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom’ again.
夫もわたしも先日食べて美味しかった、ヴィーガンクラブサンド。
We liked the Vegan Club Sandwich when we were there the other day so we both had it this time.
美容院が終わって家に戻ったのが午後3時半。今回は時間的に余裕がなく、昨日は凄く眠くて早い時間に寝てしまったので(寝不足だったので11時間寝ました)パッキングなど旅行の準備をする時間が無かったので、今日、美容院から戻ってすぐに慌ててパッキングをして、お花や2週間冷蔵庫で保たないものを冷凍したり処分して、何とかタクシーを予約していた5時半に間に合いました。
We got back home around 3:30 pm and I hurriedly packed a suitcase, got rid of flowers and some things in the fridge as well as freezing some things. I’d been so busy I hadn’t had time to do these earlier and I went to bed very early yesterday (and slept about 11 hours). I managed to finish everything by 5:30pm, when the taxi we had booked came to take us to the airport.
空港までは渋滞もなく1時間ほどで到着。
No traffic jams on the way and we arrived at the airport a little after 6:30.
夕食は空港のWeatherspoons というパブで。夫はチリコンカーニのベジタリアンバージョンのチリノンカーニ、わたしはチキンティッカマサラ。夫は低アルコールのビールも。
We had dinner at Weatherspoons pub at the airport. My husband had a vegetarian Chilli Con Carne and I had Chicken Tikka Masala. My husband also had low alcohol beer.
