今日はとても寒いですが、良いお天気になりました。チチェスターのネイルサロンに行ったので、Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom でサクッとランチをしました。別のレストランでランチをするつもりでいたのですが、昨日の夜メニューをチェックしようとしたら１１月から３月は金、土、日だけの営業になっていたので予定変更になりました。
It’s very cold today but very sunny. I had an appointment at my nail salon in Chichester, which ended around lunch time, so we had a quick lunch at “Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom”. We had been planning to go to a different restaurant but when I checked the menu late last night I noticed it was open only on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from November until March.
夫もわたしも、ガーデン・クラブ・サンドをオーダー。飲み物は、夫はカプチーノ、わたしはアールグレーティー。サンドイッチに入っているのは、ビーツ、フムス、アボカド、ヴィーガン・スロー、トマト、ローストペッパー。美味しかったです。サンドイッチがやく13ポンド（２６００円）と考えるとショックが大きすぎるので、１ポンド１００円で換算して、１３００円、ということに（笑）。イギリスでも高い方ですが、パブでランチをするともっと高くて美味しくないので、仕方のないところです。
We both had the Garden Club Sandwich, which has beets, hummus, avocado, vegan slaw, tomato, and roast pepper. My husband had it with a cappuccino and I had it with Earl Grey tea. The sandwiches are very nice here although expensive. £12.95 for Garden Club sandwich, it seems shocking in Japanese yen so I try to calculate at £1 = 100 yen, then it’s not too bad. (The reality is nearly double of that.) Although it is expensive even for England, if you eat lunch at a pub it costs more and not as nice so I feel it’s OK.
