このところ、たまに陽が射すものの雲が多かったり時々雨が降るイギリスらしいお天気が続いていましたが、今日は良いお天気です。（でも、寒くて風も強い。）そして、ぐんと寒くなって最低気温は３、４度、最高気温も１０度あるかないか、いよいよ冬です。でも、（少なくとも今のところ）予報では木曜日までは良いお天気のようです。
Recently, we’ve been having very “English” weather – grey, cloudy or rain with sun coming out occasionally, but it’s nice and sunny today (but cold and blowy). The temperature has dropped to 3-4C for the nighttime low and is lower than 10C for the daytime high, so I suppose it is winter now. At least at the moment the weather forecast says we’ll have sunny weather until Thursday.
お庭のジャパニーズ・メイプルも赤くなり、シルバー・バーチ（白樺）の葉っぱも黄色くなってずいぶん落ちました。秋は落ち葉を集めて拾うのが結構大変（あまりしてませんが 笑）。
The Japanese maple in our garden turned red and a lot of leaves on the silver birches have turned yellow and fallen off. Collecting the leaves in our garden is a big job this time of year, although we don’t bother too much.
お庭のリノベーションの後、今咲いているお花がないのがちょっと残念で殺風景なので、昨日、新しく植えた白樺の近くに白いシクラメンを植えてみました。
After the recent garden renovation, we were hoping there would be some plants that flower at this time of year but there aren’t so we planted some white cyclamens near the new silver birches. Hopefully they’ll grow and multiply every year.
