２週間ぶりに太陽が顔を出しました！この２週間、ほとんどソーラーパネルで電気も作れず、ずっと暗かったのです。気温は下がって寒くなりましたが（冬服です）、寒くても明るい方が断然良い！
It was finally sunny today after 2 weeks of dull weather! Yay! Our solar panels haven’t made much electricity at all for the last two weeks and it’s been very dark and miserable, even though better than rain. The temperature dropped and it was cold but I don’t mind that, it is much nicer to have a blue sky!
今日は、刺繍の会に出席しました。その前に、ご一緒するお友達とアランデルの Cockburn Tea Room でランチをしました。そして今日はお昼前にネイルサロンに行ったので夫に送ってもらったため、夫もランチに参加。お友達ご夫婦はわたしたちがロンドンに行く前にご旅行から戻られたので、久しぶりにゆっくりとお話し出来ました。
I attended the embroidery gathering today and had lunch with my next door neighbour friend before that at Cockburn Tea Room in Arundel. My husband also joined us as I needed to be in Chichester for my nails before the lunch and my husband took me to both places. Our next door neighbours were away on holiday for a couple of weeks until just before we left for London, so it had been a while since we had a proper catch up.
わたしと夫は卵とベーコンのサンドイッチとブリーとベーコンのサンドイッチを半分ずつ、お友達はツナをトッピングしたジャケット・ポテト。卵とベーコンのサンドイッチの卵には塩胡椒がされていないんだと思います、ベーコンの塩気でなんとかという感じ。イギリスの卵サンドは大抵塩胡椒がされていず、マヨネーズも日本のとは違って塩分も酸味もあまりないので余りオーダーしないのですが、今日は他に余りチョイスがなく、夫と半分ずつにしたかったので。最近はトーストしていただくようにしています、トーストすればパンが多少パサついていても美味しく食べられます。
My husband and I shared Egg & Bacon Sandwich and Brie & Bacon Sandwich and our friend had a jacket potato with tuna on top. The egg & bacon sandwich’s egg didn’t seem to have any seasoning but the bacon added a bit of seasoning. I find egg sandwiches in England tend to have very little – or no – seasoning for some reason, mayonnaise here doesn’t have much salt or vinegar so it lacks something, unless you add a little extra so I don’t often order it but there wasn’t anything else we wanted today. We recently started to ask them here to toast the bread because that way it’s much more enjoyable, even when the bread is a little dry.
久しぶりに２時間ほど刺繍をしたら、右側の胸の上辺りや肩甲骨が筋肉痛で痛いです（涙）。たった２時間刺繍をしただけなのに（涙）。
It’s been such a long time since I did any embroidery, so after 2 hours of doing that, I’m having pain above my right breast as well as on the right side of my upper back. It’s surprising what something like embroidery can do to your body!
