今日は、本当に良いお天気で、夕方の５時を過ぎても青い空が見られました。だんだんと日が長くなって来て嬉しいです。明日から１週間くらい良いお天気が続く予報です。ただ、また寒くなって最低気温はマイナス、最高気温も９度、１０度。でも、太陽が出ると暖かく感じるので寒いのは苦になりません。
It was a beautifully sunny day today and it still looked very bright with the blue sky even after 5:00pm. I’m glad that the days are getting noticeably longer. It’s forecasted to be sunny for the next week, although it’s gone cold, with the lowest T minus 1 and the highest 10C. I don’t mind it being cold if it’s sunny as it feels warmer with the sun.
今日は、夕方７時半からチチェスターシアターでのお芝居を見に行ったので、チチェスターの Brasserie Blanc で早いディナーをいただきました。わたしたちはアラカルトからいただきましたが、お得なシアターコースもあるせいかとても混んでいました。
We went to see a play at Chichester Theatre this evening so we had an early dinner at Brasserie Blanc. It was surprisingly busy, probably because they have a very reasonably peiced pee-theatre menu although we ordered from the a la carte.
夫は、大好物のエスカルゴ。
My husband loves escargots, so that’s what he had for the starter.
わたしは、ヨルサレムアーティチョークと冬のリークのサラダ。さっぱりして、ナッツの食感も良く美味しかったです。
I started with Jerusalem artichoke & winter leek salad, it was nice and refreshing and I loved the texture of nuts.
夫のメインは、チキンの胸肉のマスタードソース、マッシュポテトとインゲン豆添え。まぁ、普通だったみたいですが量が多くて飽きたようでした。
For the main my husband ordered Chicken Breast with mustard sauce served with mashed potatoes and green beans. I think it was just so-so and he seemed to have got tired halfway through and left some.
わたしは、前菜のメニューからモルトーソーセージ、ポテト、ポーチドエッグのサラダをメインにいただきました。メインとしていただいてもたっぷりの量。
I ordered Morteau Sausage Salad, which comes with potatoes and poached egg, from the starter menu for my main. It is quite a large portion and very filling, even as a main.
２人ともお腹がいっぱいになってしまい、デザートはなし。それぞれにワインをグラスで１杯ずつとガス入りのお水１本シェアーして、75ポンド（14100円）。イギリスでは、安いほうだと思います。
We both felt too full to have a dessert so no dessert today. We had a glass of wine each and shared a bottle of sparkling water and it was £75, which is on the reasonable side in England.
