この数日、朝、シャワーを浴びる時にバスルームが少し寒くなっているので、タオルレールのヒーターをオンにしました。まだ、しばらくはセントラルヒーティングは必要ないとは思いますが、どうでしょうね。１０月かな。
I’ve been feeling a little cold in the bathroom when I take a shower in the morning for the last few days, so I asked my husband to turn on the heated towel rails. I don’t think we need the centra heating yet, but I cannot remember when we usually put it on, maybe October?
今日は、朝から雨。一時期雨が止んで明るくなっていましたが、その後また雨が降りました。
It was raining in the morning, had a little break and was looking better later in the afternoon but rained again in the evening.
今日は Hello Fresh の配達がある日でそれを夕食にするつもりでしたが何か事故があったらしくて届かず、急遽、出かけ先のマークス＆スペンサーズのレディー・ミールを買ってみることに。夫はミートボールのパスタ、わたしはバンバン・チキンとカリフラワーライス。マークス＆スペンサーズのレディー・ミールは美味しいという定評ですが、まぁ、レディー・ミールなのでこんなものでしょう、という感じでした。バンバン・チキンのチキンは柔らかく臭みもなく美味しかったですしソースも美味しかったですが、ソースが多い割にカリフラワーライスの量が少なくて結構しっかり味なのでお水を飲みつついただく感じでした、春雨っぽいものでも添えた方が良かったかな、と思いました。夫のパスタもまぁまぁ、でした。バンバン・チキンはわたしのレパートリーにはないですが、夫のミートボールパスタは簡単に作れるものなので、やっぱり家で作っれば良かった、簡単に美味しく作れるのに、と後悔。
Hello Fresh meals were scheduled to be delivered today, but we had a notice saying it will be delayed until tomorrow, so we picked up a couple of ready meals at M&S as we were there when we saw the notice. My husband picked Meatball Pasta and I picked Bang Bang Chicken & Cauliflower Rice. Ready meals of M&S are supposed to be delicious but I suppose that is as far as ready meals go, they were just OK. The chicken of Bang Bang Chicken was good, it was tender and no gamy taste. The sauce was also good but there wasn’t enough cauliflower rice or there was too much sauce, the seasoning is right if you have something bland like plain rice but when everything is covered with lots of sauce it was over-seasoned. I probably should have cooked rice noodles or something to go with it. My husband’s meatball pasta tasted OK but of course the pasta is over-cooked. I guess it cannot be helped. Bang Bang chicken isn’t in my repertoire but it’s so easy to cook meatball pasta, I couldn’t help thinking we should have cooked it ourselves.
