It was forecasted to be raining most of the afternoon so we were planning to stay in the cottage but it hadn’t rained by lunch time so we decided to go to Shaftesbury in the afternoon. The view on the way was beautiful!
目的地に到着した途端に大雨になりました(笑)が、風が強く雲の動きが早かったのでしばらく車の中で待ってみることに。幸い、10分ほどでやみました。
As soon as we arrived at the town it started to rain very heavily but the clouds were moving fast so we waited in the car in the car park for the rain to stop and it did stop in 10 minutes or so.
ここは、この急な坂道が有名なのだそう。
This is the famous steep hill.
とても素敵な坂道ですが、写真で見た感じよりずっと急で、特に降りるのは怖かったです。
It is lovely but really steep, more so than it looks on photos, it was scary to go down the hill.
街のベイカリーでお茶といただくアーモンドとラズベリーのタルトを買って戻ってきました。
We bought Almond and Raspberry Tart to have with tea in the bakery in town and got back to Lyndhurst.
