ヘイスティング近くのお友達ご夫妻のお家に泊まりにきています。スイスにお住まいの共通のお友達ご夫妻泊まりに来るので、同じ日に来ない？と誘っていただきました。ディナーに沢山のご馳走をご用意いただいていました。
We are staying at our friends’ tonight. They invited us over because a couple living in Switzerland, who are our mutual friends, are visiting England and are staying with them tonight. They prepared a lot of lovely food for dinner.
やっとこのようにお友達のお家に泊めて頂いたりお招きしたり出来るようになって嬉しいのですが、イギリスではまだまだ結構な人数の方がコロナに感染し(30000人前後だと思います)、亡くなっているので(多分１日150人前後)、どこまで普通に近い生活をするべきなのかは、判断が難しいところです。今はマスクをしない人も増えて、人が密集するところに出かける人も増えていますから、それだけ感染する可能性も増えている気がしています。
It feels good that we can now stay at families’ or friends’ and have more social life but the situation with corona in England isn’t as good as I would like it to be or good enough for me to feel safe, there are still a large number of people ( I think around 30,000 people when I checked recently) getting the illness and something like 150 people are dying from it every day. It’s hard to know how much ‘normal’ life we should have. I see fewer people are wearing masks and more and more people are going where people are tightly packed, so perhaps it’s more and more likely to get infected.
