夕食に春巻きの後でいただいたミンスパイは、今日、夫と一緒に焼きました。結婚した年に当時わたしの直属の上司だったイギリス人の部長さんの奥様に教えていただいて、以来、毎年必ず焼いています。今年のミンスパイのミンスミート（中に詰めるドライフルーツを漬け込んだもの）はロンドンに行った時にフォートナム＆メイソンのものを購入しました。相変わらず不恰好ですが、美味しく焼けました。
The mince pies we had at supper today were what my husband and I baked together today. When we got married, the wife of my English boss at the time showed me how to make them and since then I’ve baked them every year. We bought a jar of Fortnum & Mason mincemeat when we were in London so that’s what we used for them. They always look a bit crooked but they are very nice.
