今日は、ペットワースの美容院でカットをしてもらってきました。先日、別の美容院でカラーをしていただいて、今日はカットをしていただいて、すっきりしました。前回のカットの時にそれまでよりもかなり短くしていただいたのですが、５週間経つとかなり伸びていたので早く切ってもらいたいと思っていたのでした。

We went to Petworth today as I had an appointment with my hair salon for a hair cut. I had my hair coloured the other day in a different salon and had it cut today so I’m feeling much better. I had my hair cut much shorter the last time I went.

美容院に行く前に、Cowdray Farmshop & Cafe でサクッとランチ。今日もイギリスは気持ちの良い夏のようなお天気で、カフェでも多くの方たちが外席に座っておられました。みなさん、影でなくても平気らしくパラソルもないところでお食事されていましたが、わたしたちは中席。この建物は、ファームショップ＆カフェがある建物のお隣にある、多分、宿泊施設。藤の花が綺麗でした。

Before going to Petworth for my hair salon, we had a quick lunch at Cowdray Farmshop & Cafe. It is another beautiful day today and the temperature went up to 23C – already summer! Many people were sitting outside at the cafe, they don’t seem to mind getting the direct sun without a parasol. We don’t like that so we sat inside. This building is across from the buildings of the farmshop & cafe, I guess it’s a hotel. The wisterias are looking beautiful.

夫は、季節のアスパラガスとポーチドエッグ（火が通り過ぎていてとても残念でした）とベーコン。

My husband had seasonal asparagus with poached egg (which wasn’t soft and runny at all – a shame…) and bacon.

わたしは、いつものBLT、ベーコンが多すぎるので夫に食べてもらいました。

I had my usual – BLT. Too much bacon so my husband helped me with it.

そして、ペットワースに少し早く着いてしまったので、ぶらっと歩きました。ここも、藤の花が満開。この季節、どこを走っていてもブルーベルや藤の花、ほかにもたくさんの野の花が見られて良い季節です。ペットワースには美容院に行くために2ヶ月に１度以上の頻度で行っていますが、いつも用だけ済ませて帰るので、ぶらっと歩いたのは半年ぶりくらい、前回はお友達と一緒でした。

We arrived in Petworth a little too early for my appointment, so we had a little walk in the town, the wisterias are looking beautiful here, too. Wherever we drive now we see bluebells, wisterias and a lot of wild flowers this time of year and England is looking great at the moment with this beautiful weather. We go to Petworth once in 2 months or so for my hair cut but we don’t usually do anything else there so it’s been about six months since we walked around, the last time was when a friend of mine was here.
