今日もとってもお天気が良くて、バーベキュー日和だからまたバーベキューにしよう、ということになり、ジムの帰りにスーパーに寄ってバーベキューコーナーでいくつか買って来て、夕食はバーベキューになりました。なのですが、夫が焼いてくれている時に雨が降り始めてしまいました。お天気予報では１日良いお天気の予報だったのに。仕方がないので夫に焼いてもらって、食べるのはダイニングルームで食べることに。
It was another beautiful day today and we decided to have BBQ again as the weather is so lovely. So we bought a few things from a supermarket on our way home from the gym. However, while my husband was BBQing, it started to rain! The weather forecast didn’t mention rain at all! My husband did do the cooking on the BBQ but we ate inside in the dining room.
スーパーで買って来たのはケイジャン・スパイスにマリネしたチキンの胸肉とソーセージ、そしてフムス。わたしは簡単なカプレーゼ風（アボカド追加）のサラダ（フレッシュのバジルを買い忘れているので、冷凍の刻んだバジルを使いました）を作り、フムスにきゅうりを添えただけ。美味しかったです。わたしはチキンが食べきれず半分くらい残しました、サラダかサンドイッチにでも使おうと思います。
We bought Cajun Chicken, sausages and humus from Sainsbury’s, I made a simple Caprese salad (added avocado and used frozen chopped basil as we didn’t have any fresh) and made some cucumber sticks to have with the humus. It was all very good but I got too full to finish the chicken breast, I’ll use the left-over for a salad or a sandwich.
すぐにやむかと思った雨ですが、その後もしとしとと降り続いているようです。しばらく雨が降っていなくてお庭がかさかさだったので、お庭にとっては恵みの雨。
We thought it would stop raining soon but it’s still raining steadily (not heavy but steady). We haven’t had rain for a long time and the gardens are very dry so I suppose it was good for the gardens.
