火曜日はとても良いお天気で、デボンの田舎をドライブし、昨日は午前中は雨になりましたが午後から上がり、エクセターでランチとショッピングをしました。数日中にブログにアップしようと思います。
On Tuesday, the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed driving in the countryside in Devon. It rained in the morning yesterday but was quite nice in the afternoon, we had lunch and a little shopping in Exeter. I’ll blog both days later with photos.
今朝１０時前にホテルを出て、途中、ドーセットのデパートのカフェで夫の兄とパートナーとランチをし、４時過ぎに家に着きました。デボンやドーセットはとても良いお天気で気温も２０度近くまで上がって暖かかったですが、ここは昼間も１５度くらいでちょっと寒いです。
This morning, we left the hotel a little before 10:00am, had a light lunch at a cafe in a department store in Dorset with my husband’s elder brother and his partner and we got back a little after 4:00pm. It was very nice weather today in Devon and Dorset, the temperature was about 20C so nice and warm but here where we are it was only 15C during the day and feels a little chilly.
夕方にスーパーのデリバリーをしてもらうように手配してあったので、今日の夕食用にマークス＆スペンサーズのガストロ・パブシリーズメイン、サイド、デザートをオーダーしてありました。以前も何度かオーダーしている、チキンのフォレスト風（マッシュルーム入りのクリームソース）、サイドはグリーンピースやサンファイヤーが入ったグリーンのお野菜。デザートは、今日はフルーツだけにしました。チキンはそのままだと塩辛いので、ミルクを少し足してから温めていますが、それでもわたしには少し塩辛かったです。チキンは柔らかく臭みもなく、美味しくいただきました。
I made an arrangement so we would get a delivery from the online supermarket we use this evening so in the order I put a main, a side & a dessert of the M&S “Gastro Pub” series. The main was Chicken Forestier, which we’ve had a few times before and the side was green vegetables that included green peas and samphire. We didn’t have the dessert today, we just had some fruits instead. The chicken dish is too salty if we have it as it is so I add some milk before warming it up in the oven, it was still more salty that I like but I was able to enjoy it as the chicken is nice and tender and doesn’t have strong gamy flavour.
