今日も２５度くらい、日陰は気持ち良いですが太陽がまともに当たると肌がジリジリと音を立てそうなくらい強いので、気になっていたお花の切り戻しを始めてみましたが暑すぎてすぐに断念しました。太陽にまともに当たるとひどい湿疹が出るので、気をつけています。
It was about 25C again so nice in the shade but very hot when the sun is on you, my skin gets really hot – almost as if I can hear the sizzling noise! I started doing a little pruning of some plants but I decided it was too hot on my skin and soon stopped, I need to be careful as I get a very uncomfortable rash if the sun is on my skin even for a few minutes if it’s very strong.
結構暑くなっているので、ガスパチョを作りました。前菜は、夫はスモークサーモン、わたしは生ハム。
As it’s quite warm, we made Gazpacho. We also had a starter – my husband had Smoked Salmon and I had Cured Ham.
少し前に１輪挿の５つセットを買いましたが、同じ時に試験管のようなものが５つ繋がっている花瓶も買いました。でも、試験管くらいと思っていたのですが実際は結構大きくて、お花の茎が短いと使えないですし小さなお花には合わない感じなのでちょうど良い大きさのお花を探すのがちょっと難しく、やっと使いました。
A little wile ago I bought a set of 5 tiny vases and I also ordered a set of test tube-like vase (5 of them are connected) thinking they were small, normal test tube size but they are actually quite a lot larger so I’ve been finding it hard to find the right type of flowers, they need to have longish stems and need to have a certain size of heads.
