このところ良いお天気が続いていて、イギリスとしては気温も高く湿気も高くなっていて、イギリスの家は熱が籠るように出来ているのでそういうお天気がしばらく続くと日に日に家の中が暑くなる気がします。ドアと窓を開けていてもほとんど風がなく、お料理するには暑い。
It’s been good weather for a little while and quite warm and humid for England. As the houses in England are built to keep in the heat, when you have many warm days, it seems to get hotter and hotter inside. Although we kept the doors to the garden and the windows on the other side opened, there has hardly been any breeze today so it’s too hot to cook.
暑くなるとますます食べたくなるタイ料理。今日の夕食は、よく作るガッパオ（豚ミンチのバジル炒め）とタイ風のサラダにしました。タイには目玉焼きのサラダというのがあるのですが、サラダには目玉焼きは加えず、目玉焼きはご飯の上にのせてガッパオとサラダとどちらとも一緒に食べる方式。サラダにはトマト、玉ねぎ、セロリ、ミントを入れて（シャンツァイはきれているのを忘れていました）、タイ風のドレッシングで和えています。美味しかったです！こうして少し蒸し暑い空気の中で冷たいビールを飲みながらタイ料理を食べていると、アジアのビーチリゾートが恋しくなります。
When it’s warm like this, I crave for Thai food more and had Mince Pork With Basil and Thai salad for dinner today. In Thailand they have fried egg salad but today we had just one fried egg for both the Mince Pork stir-fried with Basil and the salad. The salad has tomato, onion, celery & mint and the dressing is typical Thai dressing of fish sauce, lime juice, sugar and chill flakes. We enjoyed it very much. When we eat Thai food with cold beer in this warm and a little humid air, I miss beach resorts in Asia.
