昨日の夜は寒くてリビングで暖炉に火をいれたいくらいで（元をオンにするのが面倒で入れませんでしたが）、今日も雨が降ってはやみのお天気で寒かったです。今日はチチェスターのネイルサロンに行ったついでに、Joanna’s Tea Rooms でランチをしましたが、ネイルサロンからティールームまでの５分ほどの距離も寒くて！厚めのコットンのセーターの上に長いフード付きのスェットのようなものを着ていましたが、コートが欲しいくらいでした。明日は少しだけ気温が上がるようですし、土曜日からはお天気も良くなる予報なので楽しみです。ヒートウェーブが来ると言われていましたが、どうも予報が変わったらしく、この辺りはこの先２週間のお天気を見ると最高温度２３度が１日あるだけで後は最高気温２１度、ヒートウェーブとは言えない（笑）、暑いのは苦手なのでその方が有難いですが。ロンドンはもう少し上がるようですが、ヒートウェーブと言えるほどではないような。
It was so cold last night, we wanted to use the fire place in the living room – though we didn’t because it’s a bit of a pain as it’s been turned off for the season. It was rainy today and quite cold. I went to the nail salon in Chichester so we had lunch at Joanna’s Boutique Tea Rooms, but I was cold when I walked from the nail salon to the tea rooms even though it was only about 5 minutes. I had quite a thick cotton jumper as well as a thick hoodie but was still cold and wanted a proper coat! It’s going to be a little warmer tomorrow and the sun is supposed to be out more from Saturday, and I’m so looking forward to warmer weather. They were talking about another heatwave coming but I guess it’s changed as the forecast for the next 2 weeks doesn’t have any high tempreature, the highest is 23C for one day and the rest is only 21C, which is far from a heatwave. Not that I’m complaining, I don’t like very hot weather so 21C-23C with sun suits me fine. It looks like it’s warmer in London but still not really a heatwave.

My husband had Welsh Rarebit and I had Club Sandwich for lunch.
そして、夕食は、先日のスモーキー・チポトレチキンのチキンと豆類ととうもろこしとチポトレペーストを合わせたものがたくさん残っていたので、エンチラーダにしました。トルティーヤでチキン、豆類ととうもろこし、スパイシーなソース（玉ねぎを炒めてスパイスとトマトパッサータを加えて少し煮込んだソース）を巻いた上に更にソースをかけて、チーズと玉ねぎをのせてオーブンで焼いたもの。シャンツァイを忘れたことに食べ始めてから気づきました。
For dinner I made Chicken Enchilada to use up the left-over smokey chipotle chicken and the mixture of beans, sweet corns & chipotle paste that we had from the other day. I wrapped chicken, a mixture of beans & sweet corn, some spicy sauce (I sauteed onion, garlic, spices, then added tomato passata and cooked it on a low heat until thickened), lined them up in a baking dish, added some more spicy sauce, some cheese and sliced onion and baked it in the oven. I realised I’d forgotten to scatter some coriander leaves on top when I plated.
夫は２つ、わたしは１つ。サラダと一緒にいただきました。美味しく出来ました。
My husband had 2 of them and I had just 1 with a salad. It was very tasty.
いつもお庭のお花を家の中で楽しみたいと思いつつ、ピオニーなど大きなお花には虫が多くてなかなか飾れず、小さなお花を飾る花瓶がなかったので小さな花瓶セットをオーダーして使ってみました。一番左にペンステモンとコスモス、次が薔薇とアルキミア・モリスとゼラニューム、真ん中がモックオレンジ（とっても良い香り）、次がペンステモンとコスモスとゼラニューム、右端が薔薇とコスモス。可愛い〜！
I’ve been wanting to have some small vases because large flowers from our garden like peonies and roses have lots of bugs inside and I cannot make a large enough bouquet to enjoy them inside the house so I ordered a set of bud vases to be able to enjoy little flowers. The far left one has penstemon & cosmos, the next one has a rose, alchemia morris, geranium, the middle one has mock orange (smells so sweet and lovely), then penstemon, cosmos & geranium, then far right one has a rose and cosmos. I think they look so lovely!
