今日は久しぶりにジムに行って、お友達がいらしていた間さぼっていたお掃除（床はルンバがしてくれますが埃取りをしてくれるロボットはまだない）とアイロンがけを頑張りました。お友達も無事にリムジンバスでホテルから空港に到着されてフライト待ちというご連絡が来ていてフライトは少しの遅れで出発したようなので、今は機上の人、あと６時間くらいで日本に到着予定。胃腸はまだ少し痛みますが、昨日より大分良くなりましたし、喉もましになっています。
We went to the gym, which we hadn’t done since last Monday, and I did some cleaning (the floors are cleaned by our Roomba every day but we haven’t found any dusting machine yet!) and ironing. My friend sent me a message this morning saying she had taken the limousine bus from the hotel to the airport terminal and was waiting for her flight. We checked the flight information and found that her flight left just 20 minutes or so late so she should be arriving in Japan in 6 hours or so. My stomach and tummy still ache a little now and again, but better than yesterday, and my throat is also feeling better than yesterday.
お友達滞在３日目は、お友達が買いたいものがあったのでチチェスターに出てぶらっと街を歩いた後、Tinwood Estate というヴィンヤード（葡萄畑） でランチをしました。この場所ではワインは作っていないのですが、葡萄畑があり、カジュアルなランチがいただけます。ツアーに参加すれば一緒にランチも出されるので予約ができますが、ツアー参加出ない場合は予約は出来ません、でも、これまで何度か行っていますがいつも座れています。この日は、大勢の方達がツアーに参加されていましたが、テーブルは十分ありました。ガラスの保存瓶などに入れたサラダやディップなど好きなものをワイン箱に入れてお会計を済ませてから、ピクニック風のランチをテーブルでいただきます。比較的どれも美味しいですし、ここのパンも美味しく、ロケーション的にも日本にはなさそうなところなのでランチの場所に選びました。開放的な気持ちになれて、お気に入りの場所です。気候が良い時期に行きたい場所なので、夏の間に１、２回行くところです。
On the 3rd day of my friend’s stay with us, she had something she wanted to buy so we went to Chichester, did a little shopping and walked around a little, then went to Tinwood Estate, which isn’t a winery but a vinyard, for lunch. You can have lunch viewing their vinyard here. If you book their tour you also get lunch but otherwise you cannot book a table here. However, we never had a problem with finding a table. This particular day the tour group had quite a lot of people but we were still able to get a table without a problem. You pick up what you want from quite a good selection of salads, dips, etc in small dishes or glass containers, put them in a wine box, get a bottle of sparkling wine, pay for all, then find a table and have ‘picnic’ type of lunch. Most things are tasty and their bread is very nice, too. We chose this place for lunch with my friend because the setting is lovely and the food is good and it’s something I feel they probably don’t have in Japan, we love it here. It’s somewhere you feel like going when the weather is nice so we tend to go there once or twice in the summer.
ポークのスペアリブはパサパサで残念だったのと、プチケーキは見た目が可愛くて取ってしまいましたがなくても良かったです、他は美味しくいただきました。
The pork spare ribs were very dry and not nice and the petit-cakes looked lovely but we didn’t really enjoy them, but the other dishes were good.
