今朝は毎年この時期に開催されるシンガポールマラソンが開催され、夫もハーフマラソンに参加しました。今年で多分６回目だと思います。このレースは始まる時間が他のレースより遅いので暑く、雨が降ってくれるといいねと言っていたのですが今朝は晴天でとても暑かったようです。今年はヘイズが長引いて、その後イギリスとモロッコに旅行し戻ってすぐに出張が続いて思うようにトレーニングできずタイムはあまり良くはなかったそうですが、去年の同じレースより５分早かったそうなので上出来。お疲れ様でした！

This morning, there was the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, and my husband ran the Half Marathon.  This is probably his 6th such race over this distance.  Most marathons here start very early in the morning so you can finish it before the sun rises, but this one starts relatively late (06:30am) and you have to run with the sun above – and it’s so hot here in the direct sun.  This year, the haze went on and on for a long time, then we went away on holidays, then he had quite a few business trips, so he wasn’t able to do all of the training he wanted.  He says the finish time wasn’t great but it was 5 minutes quicker than last year, which sounds great to me.  Well done!
