途中まで書いて長くなりすぎると思い、ダッバワラーの部分を別記事にしたのですが、コピーをしてしまったために記事が更新されてダッバワラーまで書いていた記事が消えてしまいました（涙）。ということで、順序が逆になりますが、書き直しです。。。
As I was writing about our 3rd day in India, the post became very long so I decided to separate the Dabbawala from the rest, specially because I uploaded a video and many photos. I guess I did something wrong when I copied what I’d already written and added the rest in a separate post. By some reason, the part about another Dhoby Ghaut and the main Train Terminus post disappeared and could not be seen anywhere, it was updated with the new Dabbawala part. So, I have to write the first part all over again…
ダッバワラー（お弁当配達人）を見に行く前に、洗濯場（ドービーガート）とメインの駅を見に行きました。洗濯場は前日に一番大きな有名なところに行きましたが、この日に連れて行っていただいたのはもう少し小さめのところで中にも入れますよと入り口まで連れて行っていただきました。中の方に入るとコンクリートに叩きつけて洗っているお水が飛んできますし、それになんとなく居心地が悪く感じたので中までは入らず、入り口のあたりで何枚か撮らせていただきました。最初の３枚の写真は、洗濯場に行くまでの道中で車の中から撮った写真です。
So, on the 3rd day, before going to see Dabbawala, we first went to a Dhoby Ghaut. We saw the major Dhoby Ghaut on the day before but this one was smaller and we were able to go down to the level where they worked. We didn’t actually go inside because we would have got splashed with washing water and also I didn’t feel comfortable doing so, so I just took a few photos at the gate area. The 1st 3 photos are what I took from the car on our way.
路上の髭剃り屋さん。いろいろなところで見かけましたがなかなか写真が撮れず、やっと撮れた１枚。
A barber shop on the road. We saw many but it was hard to take a photo because we were always in the car. This is the best shot.

先日書いたように、太いワイヤー２本を捻った物干し。
LIke I wrote the other day, they twist 2 wires for drying the clothes.
この方は、仕分け係だそうです。
He is in charge of sorting the washings.
この後、マニ・バワン・ガンジー博物館。中は撮影禁止。
We then visited Mani Bhavan Gandhiji’s (commonly known as Gandhi) Museum. No photography inside.
そして、チャトラパティ・シヴァージー・ターミナス駅（旧名 ヴィクトリア・ターミナス駅）。名前が難しすぎて、到底覚えられません〜。１８８８年に建てられた駅で２０１４年にユネスコ世界遺産に登録されているそうで、とても立派な建物でした。駅のツアーもあるそうですがわたしたちは時間的に厳しかったので、大きな道を隔てた向かい側から外側の写真を撮ってから中で電車から降りてくる人たちを撮りました。
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (formerly known as Victoria Terminus) is a historic railway station and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2014. It was built in 1888 and it’s Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival architecture – what my husband would call ‘a proper railway station’. I’m told they have a tour of the station but we just took photos from across the road then went in and took shots of the passengers coming off the trains.
中で写真を撮る時にレンズを変えたのですが、今回また、レンズの設定がマニュアルフォーカスになっていたことに気づかずに長い間撮影していて、気づいたのはもう直ぐ出るという時（涙）。そして、本当は入ってくる電車のドアが開いていて乗客が乗り出している様子を撮りたかったのですが、撮ってみて気づきました、ホームでの写真では無理でした。だって、止まっているようにしか見えません（笑）。ということで、きれいな服を着ておられる女性たちを中心に。１人１人が全く違う服装で色合わせも柄合わせもスタイルも違っていて、見ていて飽きません。
I changed the lens before getting inside the station and I made that mistake again, I didn’t realise that the lens was set for manual focus almost until the time when we were leaving. Very sad. I wanted to take photos of a train coming in with doors open and passengers leaning out while the train is still moving, but after taking some photos, I realised that it’s not really possible to capture that on the platform because they look as if they had stopped. I could have played with shutterspeed and made it blur but my knowlege isn’t good enough to be able to do so right there and then without thinking. So I decided to take Indian ladies with beautiful clothes. Every lady is wearing something different in style, colour and pattern combinations, I don’t get tired of them.
