先日、義弟夫婦とランチをした日に夫にバースデーケーキをもらってきました、オーダーしてくださったケーキだそうです。風船のデコレーションつきで、とても可愛い。お誕生日当日はアフタヌーンティーに行ったので甘いものはいただけず、昨日、お茶の時間にいただきました。外側は分厚いアイシング、中はイギリス人が大好きなヘビーなフルーツケーキ。すっごく甘いアイシング、わたしの分まで夫が食べました。

When we had lunch near Windsor with my husband’s younger brother and his wife, they gave my husband a birthday cake that they had made a special order for.  It has a balloon decoration on it, very cute.  We couldn’t eat anything after the afternoon tea on his actual birthday, so we had it at tea time yesterday.  It was covered with very thick icing and inside was the sort of heavy fruit cake that English people love.   I left all the icing but my husband finished it all!
